Spring Dresses 2011

Spring 2011 is on the horizon and to usher in the warmer weather, feast your eyes on these lovely spring dresses.

Some upcoming color trends that you can expect to see are uplifting and energizing colors like coral and magenta. You will also see some soft, pastel hues like lilac and sage and nautical colors like cobalt blue and aqua. The classic muted, subtle tones like black and white are almost always in style and this spring is no exception.

One of the biggest trends is the 50s and 60s silhouettes coming back. (Think Jackie Onassis Kennedy and full 50s prom skirts.) The 60s housewife look is definitely hitting the runway in sheath hourglass-shape dresses that cinch in the waist and hips. Other current trends to look out for include lace, crochet, macrame, asymmetrical necklines, and tail hems (that's when the back of the dress is longer than the front.)

Lime Crime Makeup

First of all, I LOVE hot pink, I LOVE unicorns, and I LOVE bright rainbow colors. What's not to love???

Lime Crime make-up has fun colors with rad names like Dragon Scales, seen below.

The site sells crazy bright colored lipsticks and eyeshadows and offers tutorials on "how to get the look" and even offers inexpensive ad space for entrepreneurs if you are an internet business trying to break out into the world.

I usually NEVER spend more than $6 on one tube of lipstick and I am still looking for an all-natural organic lipstick that doesn't taste funny and stays on for a long time but alas, there isn't one that I know of. I might have to make it myself!!! However, even though I don't think I've ever spent more than $6 on a lipstick, it just might be time because I think I have to try Lime Crime's sexy bright colored lipstick! Top 10 Fashion Accessories Tips
1. The Three Rs
  Reduce, reuse, recycle! Rather than purchasing something bran new (which requires manufacturing resources to be tapped into) you can save the environment. Grant an article of clothing a second lease on life and spare any additional pollution and carbon emissions. Or you can turn something old into something new like making a quilt out of the cloth from old clothing that you never wear anymore.
2. Make it a fair trade
  Shelling out money for fairly traded gear supports fair labor conditions and workers' rights, especially in developing countries. Help the producers get a fair price for their labors by buying directly from them and not from a dealer who got the item from another change of hands. This promottes self-reliance and empowers the producers to break the cycle of poverty they're often caught in.
3. Repurpose for a purpose
  Because the mining of precious gems and metals from the earth is an environmentally ravaging process, some jewelry designers have been taking a different, more eco-friendly tack. Recycled metals have been making their rounds of late, including a form of silver that is reclaimed from used photographic film. For your green wedding: engagement and wedding rings made from recycled gold and set with repurposed or lab-grown gems.
4. Suss out sustainable
  Accessories made from sustainably produced or recycled materials are lovely to behold and kind to the planet. On the fabric front, choose textiles such as organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, and even soysilk.
5. Beg or borrow
  Plunder the contents of someone else's closet—with permission, natch—instead of shopping for your own. 8. Brevity is the soul of wit
  Accessories are meant to complement your outfit, not take it over. And, anyway, wouldn't you rather be remembered for your sparkling wit rather than that blinding hunk of ice that was weighing your neck down? Jewelry that is simple and classic will stand you in good stead.
9. Don't go with the flow
  Pilot your own fashion destiny and unchain your heart from the vagaries of fashion trends.
